Barbara Jane “Auntie” Perkins Hearne of Beaumont, TX passed away at Memorial Baptist Hospital on Sunday, July 12, 2015.

She was born on April 3, 1931 to Edgar M. Perkins, Sr. and Maggie Boudwin Perkins. Barbara was a 1947 graduate of Charlton Pollard High School. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Archie Hearne, Jr.; brother, Gene Louis Perkins.

She is survived by her brother, Edgar “Sonny” Perkins, Jr., nieces, Brenda Oliphant, Maggie Perkins, and Patrice Prevost of Beaumont, Texas, Carolyn Charlton of Houston, TX, and Peggy Perkins of Atlanta, GA; nephews, Wayne Louis Perkins of Beaumont, Texas and Keith Perkins of Washington, D.C.; 3 great nieces and 7 great nephews; 6 great great nieces and 6 great great nephews.

Celebration of Life service will be on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel (624 Irma St). Visitation will 9 a.m.-10:55 a.m. followed by the home-going service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery under the professional care and direction of Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel.
