Alfred Douglas Wilmot, Sr. was born in Stamford, Connecticut on October 23, 1953 to the late Edwin and Cleo Wilmot.  At an early age, Alfred was baptized at Magnolia Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas. 

In 1970 he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. While stationed in Okinawa, Japan, he met and his wife Kazuko (Dina) and they married August 20, 1975.  From their marriage, they had two sons, Alfred Jr., and Joseph. Upon Alfred’s retirement from the United States Marine Corps his final ranking was that of Gunnery Sergeant.

Alfred Douglas departed from this life Friday, February 14, 2020 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

He is survived by his wife Kazuko Wilmot of Beaumont, TX; sons,  Alfred Wilmot, Jr. (Emily Jablon) of Austin, TX, Joseph Wilmot (Sonya Sechrist) of Arlington; his sisters, Patricia Patterson (Donald “Duck”) and Renee Lloyd, both of Beaumont, TX; grandchildren: Joseph Wilmot, Jr, Aaliyah Wilmot, Arya Wilmot, and a newborn baby girl; cousins, Sherrell Coutain, Dolton, IL, Cynthia Mayer and Anita Davis of Beaumont, Lynn Payne of Houston, TX, Shawnda Payne of Garland, TX; nieces, Tamieka Patterson and Kimberly Patterson of Beaumont, TX; nephews, Donald Wilmot of Houston, TX, Haven Lloyd of Beaumont, TX, Christopher Lloyd of San Diego, California; great nephew and nieces, Jordan Patterson and Charly Hinkston, both of Beaumont, TX, Chaia Wilmot of Houston, TX; and other family and friends.

On Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 10 a.m. there will be a visitation at 10 a.m. the Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel (624 Irma St., Beaumont, TX) at 12 noon.  His final disposition will be private.
