Clifford Earl Jones, Jr. 24,  passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Jefferson House Apartments in Beaumont, Texas.

He was born in Houston, Texas to Clifford Earl Jones and Toneenya Green on December 26, 1995.

Growing up he attended and was an active member of House of Prayer Baptist Church where he was in both the Mass and Youth choirs.  He performed in the dramatic productions of HOP Inc., and participated in the HYPE Ministries.

Clifford graduated from Central Medical Magnet High School in 2014 where he was a member of “The Best Band in The Land”, was on the varsity football team,  and he was also in the Medical Magnet Program. 

After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marines Reserve and later became employed with Texas Department of Criminal Justice at the Mark Stiles Unit.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers respectively, Arthur Ray Green and Earlie Clifford Jones.

His memories will forever be cherished by his parents, Toneenya Green and Clifford Jones; son Whitney Jones; brothers, Kaleb Haywood, Elijah Marshall and Brendan Jones; sister, Taneace Jones; maternal and paternal grandmothers respectively, Josie Green and Hazel Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be a public visitation on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

His Celebration of Life services and burial will be private.

*Per CDC/Jefferson County, Texas regulations, everyone is always required to wear face masks in the building. 

*Seating will be limited to 50% capacity of the chapel 

*6 – feet social distancing for attendees seating.
