Dalton Joseph Senegal Jr. was born on a August 29, 1953 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Dalton Senegal Sr. and Ira Dell Hunter. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Lee College, and The Lord’s Outreach International School of Theology.
Dalton accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and established a foundation in the church at Universal Church of the Living God where he met his pride and joy, the love of his life, Angie. He later joined Antioch Baptist Church where he continued to serve God as a faithful member.
Dalton served his country with distinction, earning numerous accolades, including the Rifle Marksmanship Badge and a National Defense Service Medal as a member of the United States Marine Corp. After graduating from the Beaumont Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program, he became a journeyman electrician and later served on the apprenticeship committee and was hired as an instructor for first and second year students. His most recent position was safety manager with Newtron. He was also an active member of the IBEW Local 479, a union for electricians. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, fishing, watching movies, and making everyone laugh.

Dalton heard the voice of the Master’s call on July 13, 2017 surrounded by his family and loved ones. Dalton leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of sixteen years, Angela Senegal; one son, Jaydon Senegal; and two daughters Shantrell Bumpers (Lee) and Rachelle Sam; a sister, Patricia Francis (James); one niece, Ursula Francis Turner, one nephew, James Francis, Jr.; a great-nephew, Gregory James Turner; three grandchildren, Kenady, Brennen, and Emery Bumpers; mother-in-law, Shirley Sam; brother-in-law, Eugene Sam, III (Sonija); three special sisters-in-law, Jada Sam, Denise Sam and Roshawndia Sam, and many other relatives and friends.
