Gregory Felton Guillory was the second-born of Felton and Mary Guillory on November 22, 1959 in Beaumont, Texas. Greg grew up in a big family. He and his family were members of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. He attended Our Mother of Mercy Catholic School and Hebert High School in Beaumont where he graduated in 1978.
After high school Greg attended Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas and in 1980 was accepted into the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Academy to begin fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a DPS Texas State Trooper. Trooper Guillory graduated from the DPS Academy in 1980. Greg absolutely loved his job as a Texas State Trooper and represented the uniform and the department with honor. In 2005 Greg was commissioned as a Special Texas Ranger, he retired from the DPS later that year. He was well known and liked by his fellow troopers who affectionately referred to him as Super Trooper. On Monday, March 16, 2020 DPS Houston 2384 went OFF DUTY.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Felton Guillory.
Greg leaves behind to cherish his memories his mother, Mary Oliver Guillory; sons, Gregory B. Guillory (Anastashia), and Christopher Sean Guillory; daughter, Victoria Guillory Holmes (Sergio); brothers, Jimmy Guillory and Darrell Guillory; sister, Gwendolyn Guillory; five grandchildren; Audra Guillory, Brian Guillory, Sky Guillory, Jordyn Guillory, and Su’Kuri Holmes, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other family member and friends.
On Friday, March 27, 2020 there will be visitation from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel, 624 Irma St. in Beaumont. He will take his earthly rest at Live Oak Memorial Park on Saturday, March 28th, 2020.
