Robert LaBeaux, Jr. was born in Beaumont, TX on June 9, 1925 to the late Robert LaBeaux, Sr. and Louelva HayesLaBeaux.

He was a member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.  On January 23, 1951, he married Annie Marie Bassett.  He also served in the U. S. Marines Corps.  He was employed with International Laborers Local and also operated his own trucking business.

Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.   He also grew and sold pecans and okra.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Vernon LaBeaux, Larry LaBeaux and Richard LaBeaux; three sisters, Corine Gaines, Charlotte Phillips and Vida Mae Landry; and granddaughter, Tosha Wilkes Andrews.

He is survived by daughters Sharon Wilkes (Billy) of Oakland, CA, Louelva Antoine (Larry) of Beaumont, son Robert G.LaBeaux, Sr. (Rhenà), granddaughters Alexis K. Wilkes, Kristina LaBeaux, Nevada Arceneaux, grandsons Larry Antoine, Jr., Robert G. LaBeaux, Jr., Derrell W. Durden, Jr. and Brandon J. Durden, eleven great grandchildren; sisters Lee Esther Lovingood of Carthage, TX, Marjorine Hopkins, of Richmond, CA, and Juanita Seals of Beaumont, TX and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will greatly miss him.
