Simon “Martin” Ducre, 64 a native of Beaumont, Texas born on October 6, 1952 to Lonie M. Labrie and Simon Ducre.

“Martin” as he was affectionately known to family and friends, grew up in Beaumont in a loving family.

He attended and graduated from Beaumont High School in 1970. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War serving in Germany as a military police officer.

After serving his country Martin went to work at DuPont Beaumont Works. He later went to work as a lineman for Southwestern Bell/AT&T where he retired after 30 years of loyal service.

On Monday, May 15, 2017 Martin went from his earthly labor to begin his transition to his heavenly reward at his home in Adkins, Texas.

Martin leaves his memories to his mother, Lonie Ducre; son, Martin Jerome Ducre (Lynda); daughters, Alisha Manson (Daren) and Vanessa Ducre; Lorraine Ducre; Marvla Savoy (Samuel J.) and Rhonda Flanagan (Lawrence); three grandchildren; a host of nephew, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Martin was preceded in death by his father, Simon Ducre.

On Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 5075 Bigner Rd @ E. Lucas Rd. in Beaumont there will be a visitation at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. with Martin taking his earthly rest at Magnolia Cemetery with military honors under the professional care and direction of Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel.
