Terry Don Ellis was born to Bobbie, Sr. and Mamie Billups Ellis in Beaumont, Texas on August 13, 1953.

Terry grew up in the close neighborly South End community of Beaumont along with his brothers and sisters.

Terry graduated from Charlton Pollard High School in 1971 and later he went to work for The International Longshoremen Association Local #21 and #1316 as a longshoreman at the Port of Beaumont for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and he had a love for pit bulls and roosters.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie and Mamie Ellis, Sr.; significant other, Margaret Wiley; brothers, Lee Ellis and Charles Ellis; and sister, Barbara “Bo”  Ellis.

Terry is survived by his brother, Bobbie Ellis, Jr. (Hazel) and sister, Gertrude “Mookie” McDonald; his uncle, Walter Batiste, Sr.; his son, Michael Wiley and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

On Saturday, January 25, 2020 there will be a visitation at 9 a.m. followed by the Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. at Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel located at 624 Irma Ave. @ Neches St., in Beaumont.
