Wilson Joseph Thibeaux was born November 6, 1947 in New Iberia, Louisiana to Whitney and Franzella Thibeaux. The family moved to Beaumont, Texas while he was young, Wilson was the third child of seven born to Whitney and Franzella.
Wilson was a loving and devoted son to his parents. He resided and cared for them both as they aged. He was there to do whatever he could for both his parents until their passing.
Wilson and his older siblings shared a bond of childhood closeness that will remain fond and precious memories as the years continue. Stories and moments, they can hold dear as memories of happy times in their lives growing up together.
Wilson and his companion Peggy Gilliam, the love of his life for many years raised one daughter, Vanessa Whittington (Chad). He was grandfather of two children.
The greatest passion of his later years was gardening. He loved to work in the garden and this was often the focus of any conversation when speaking with him. A man of few words, that is, until it came to his garden. He loved Zydeco music and watching old western shows.
