Burnardine “Bunnie” Fraser Flanagan was born on Dec, 14, 1921 to Edward and Kathleen Fraser in Key West, FL. The family moved to New London, CT when she was 4 years old.
She graduated High School and served in the Army during WWII in the 6888 Postal Battalion in the European Theater of Operations. After returning to the United States, she got married to Thelmer Flanagan and attended Baucus School of Nursing. Burnardine became an LPN (licensed practical nurse) and worked at worked at the Submarine Base Hospital for 15 year
In 1996 Burnardine moved to Texas to live with her daughter. Burnardine always believed in the Lord and was baptized in the faith in 1998.
Burnardine was loving, giving and kind. She was an encourager and the definition of unconditional love. She wrote poetry and was awarded as a Distinguished Member of the International Society of Poets.
Burnardine was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Kalthleen Fraser, her husband Thelmer Flanagan, here Great Grandson George Clemons and her son-in-law George “Hickey” Clemons.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Edward Flanagan, three daughters, Aundrea Flanagan Clemons, Denean Flanagan and Darcelle Flanagan, four grandsons, six great grandchildren and and four great great grands. Also a host of other family and friends.
