Carolyn Y. Jones, 61 of Beaumont, Texas passed away at Memorial Hermann Hospital – Katy, Texas on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.


Carolyn grew up in Beaumont and graduated from Beaumont Charlton Pollard High School in 1976.  She later worked and retired from Gerorgetown Steel. 

She married her husband and best friend, Donald “Pokey” Jones of 40 years. They were motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding the open road. They had a daughter, Kina “Pooh” Jones.


Carolyn was preceded in death by her, mother, Vira Jean Bernard; step-mother, Carolyn Jones; sister, Wanda Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Ida Jean Jones.


Precious memories are left to her husband, Donald Wayne Jones; daughter, Kina Yvette Jones (Shalanda Ford); father, Alfred Jones, Sr.; brothers, A. Jay Jones (Angela), Alfred Jones, Jr.(Sharon); step-brother, Tomiko Sydney and sister, Tahara Bernard (Curley Jackson); and a host of family and friends.


On Friday, July 5, 2019 there will be a visitation 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel, 624 Irma St. in Beaumont.


On Saturday, July 6, 2019 there will be a visitation at 10 a.m. until the home-going service at 11 a.m. at  Antioch Missionary Baptist Churchat 3920 W Cardinal Dr. in Beaumont.


Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Park, 12563 W. Port Arthur Rd., Beaumont, TX 77705.
