Theresa Joyce Wilson was born October 26, 1953 to the late James Wilson, Sr. and Mattie Carey. She was a lifelong resident of Beaumont, Texas; where she attended Charlton-Pollard (Class of 1972) and became of member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and later married. She worked for B.I.S.D. twenty-three years before retiring in 2017. She was a lovely person who love being around family and friends.

Theresa Wilson is preceded in death her parents, James Wilson, Sr. and Mattie Carey; her step-father Tommie Carey; sister Clarice Bailey; and her son, Terrance Provo.

Theresa Wilson leaves cherished memories with her two daughters, Nicole Wilson and Markimmbra Wilson Smith. Her two sisters, Angela Wilson and Alicia Pollard; and brother James Wilson, Jr. Five grandchildren, Ranika Allison, LaTravion Coleman, Jr., Tre’vion Young, Ka’Vion Young, and Jayla Fontenot. Two great-grandchildren, A’miri Pugh and Daquan Pugh, Jr. Four nieces; Desiree, Mattie, Corine Bailey, and Jamiah.  Five nephews; Robert Wilson, Sr., Duriel Noble, Sr., Sidney Bill, Jr., Bristol Bailey, Jr., and Nathan Collins. Ten great nieces, six great nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

On Saturday, October 20, 2018 Theresa passed away at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

There will be a visitation starting at 8 a.m. followed by the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. with the funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 780 Porter St., Beaumont, TX 77701. She will take her earthly rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
