Willie’s Life Story

Willie Mae Trahan was born on October 17, 1939 in Beaumont, Texas to the Sidney and Bertha Trahan. She graduated from Hebert High School.

Willie married Leroy Lewis on July 24, 1959.

Willie worked for Wal-Mart for several years and retired, additionally she operated a home based floral business.

She serviced many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Bertha Trahan; and son-in-law, Michael Adevereaux.

Willie leaves memories to her husband, Leroy Lewis, Jr.; children, Leroy Lewis, III, Harold Lewis (Kim), Andrea Adevereaux, Craig Lewis, Cornell Lewis and Michael Lewis (Yaneira); siblings, Betty Morris (Ezell) and Robert Trahan (Felicia) and ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Miranda Trahan, Sheridan Lewis, and Mary Lewis; brother-in-law, Clarence Lewis; a host of nephews, neices, many other family and friends.

On Thursday, August 29, 2019 there will be a Rosary at 10:15 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 11 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.

There will be a private burial at the National VA Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
