July 21, 1972 - April 27, 2020
Nita Faye Boyce – Jack was born on July 21, 1972 to the union of Robert & Mercie Boyce in Galveston, Texas.
Nita attended Dunbar Elementary, Crockett Jr. High, Odom Jr. High, and was a proud Graduate of West Brook Sr. High School Class of 1990. While at West Brook Nita played clarinet for “Soundpower” Marching Band. After graduating High School, Nita went on to attend Dolphin Technical Institute of Beaumont where she would receive her licenses as a Cosmetologist. A trade that she proudly practiced for over 20+ years. She also was a former employee of the Beaumont Independent School District Food Service Department.
Nita accepted Christ at an early age at the Historic St. John Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized by the Rev. O.J. Beasley Jr. While growing up in St. John, Nita was active with the Jr. Usher Board, BTU, Vacation Bible School, and the St. John Youth Choir. The value of learning about Christ extended beyond the walls of St. John as Nita would unite with the New Bethel Baptist Church of Cheeks and later she united with the St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church where she served until God called her home.
Nita was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James & Lola Nunley, her paternal grandparents, Richard & Leona Boyce, five uncles and seven aunts.
On Monday, April 27, 2020 Nita answered the Master’s call and departed this life for her Heavenly Reward.
Leaving behind to cherish her legacy are her daughters, Jessica JaNita Green and Janiqua Jona Jack; parents Robert and Mercie Boyce; brother, Shelton D. Boyce (Tyra); sister, Megan Gregory (Jarrod); niece Eden Gregory and nephew Ryder Gregory.
