Chester Joseph Johnson was born on January 9, 1932 in Four Corners, Louisiana to Ernest and Matilda (Conners) Johnson.
Chester made his home in Beaumont, Texas where he made his home and raised his family.
He retired from the City of Beaumont Sanitation Dept.
Chester passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Spindletop Hill Nursing Home in Beaumont.
A life well lived of cherished memories are left to his wife, Leatha Mae Johnson; sons, Bro. David Johnson (Pamela) and Keith Johnson (Lynn); daughters, Karen Parkerson (Maxie), Deanna Rogers (William) and Brenda Harper (Gerald); brother, Lester Johnson; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and host of other family and friends.
There will be a celebration of life graveside service for Chester J. Johnson on Tuesday, August 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery Mausoleum located at 2291 Pine St. in Beaumont, Texas where he will take his earthly rest.
