Fred “Brother” Mansfield, III, 68, of Beaumont, TX passed away at Harbor Hospice House on Saturday, May 27, 2017.

He was native of Beaumont, Texas.

“Brother” proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as forklift operator for DuPont Warehouse.

“Brother” leaves memories to his wife, Gwendolyn “Gwen” Mansfield of 45 years; his son, Shannon Sherard Mansfield, Sr. and his daughter, Gigette Deneene Mansfield; a sister, Sharon Mansfield; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary E. “Snoopy” Mansfield Sr. in August 2015.

On Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Borden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church there will be a visitation at 9 a.m. with the celebration of life services at 11 a.m. Until the Trumpet Sounds………….Fred “Brother” Mansfield, III will take his earthly rest at Petry Cemetery with military honors under the professional care and direction of Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel.
